ECONOMICAL SOLUTION FOR GERMINATION TESTS
The purpose of these economical seed germinators is to assess seed quality or viability
and to predict performance of the seed and seedling in the field. CDR’s SG-90-200-350DGe/Fr are basic equipped models that work as
high precision incubators because these units are not modified refrigerators.
DURABILITY - RELIABILITY
SG 90/200/300DGe germinators
have walls made of galvanized sheet steel, finished off in white enamel. A magnetic gasket provides a tight seal to door frame.
Shelving
from seven (SG-200/300) to five (SG-90) tiers of white epoxy coated aluminum shelves. Shelves are slide-able on aluminum rail assemblies.
LIGHTING
Standard lighting on every chamber includes fluorescent light fixtures mounted vertically on the door with dual pane sealed glass barrier. Light intensity and photoperiod is controlled with analog timer and manual switches.
Cooling for seed germinators is provided by a self-contained air-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass for continuous compressor
operation. A special valve provides tight temperature control while ensuring quiet operation.
Uniform airflow is introduced to the
growth area in a horizontal airflow pattern discharged from a perforated rear wall plenum. This provides excellent uniformity throughout
the entire chamber volume.
